Mrs. Betty Jean Melton, of Decatur, GA died Monday, April 4, 2011. She was born August 16, 1934 in Ringgold, GA to Charles Philip Greene and Mary Elizabeth Greene. She graduated from Druid Hills High School in Decatur, GA and was a long-time member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church. A wonderful mother and loving wife, Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles Wendell Melton, and her mother and father. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Michael and Dell Schenck of Stone Mountain, GA, Brian and Debbie Fraser of Lilburn, GA, Rick and Dawn Billingslea of Clarkesville, GA, David and Dana Oshinski of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Simon Webster, Danyal and Rebecca Harper, Sarah Sanderfer, Justin and Mandy Sanderfer; Morgen, McKee and Madison Billingslea; Jonathan, Joshua, and Wendy Oshinski; great grandchildren, Chloe Webster-Kim, Wesley and Spencer Harper. As an only child, she was still loved by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 8th at 3:00 P.M. at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Billingslea officiating. Interment, Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
