Betty Jordan Matheny

Mrs. Betty Jordan Matheny of Atlanta died of natural causes Saturday, August 28, 2004. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Thomas Matheny; brother, James Jordan, Jr.; sister, Sara Roper; and niece, Cindy Pike. She is survived by her children, Larry Matheny, Gina Robertson and her husband Eddie, and Linda Theus and her husband her husband Jon; grandchildren, Tommy Carmen and Josh Matheny, Betsy, Amy and Mandy Robertson and Anna and Ali Theus; sisters, Genie Stephens and Barbara Pike; and brother, Jack Jordan. She was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church where she had served part time in the recreation ministry. She also had served as Supervisor of Volunteer Services at Doctor?s Hospital in Tucker, been a Rich?s employee and a member of Briarmoor Manor Garden Club. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 12 Noon Wednesday, Sept. 1st, Dr. J. Hoffman Harris and Rev. Eddie Robertson officiating. Interment Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons
