Betty Lucille Taylor, 81, of Norcross, GA passed away on February 4th, 2023. She was born in Glenwood, Georgia on May 13, 1941 to Wilbun and Earnesteen McDaniel. She spent her entire life loving her family, friends and her heavenly father Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Church in Atlanta for over 40 years.
Betty was known as an avid hugger who never met a stranger. She tried to love people the way God loves her. She shared this love and compassion with everyone she was around. She heartily spread the good news of Jesus to any and everyone. One of her favorite things to do was to give away Bibles. On one such occasion she gifted a bible to a couple. In it she left the following handwritten note “Much Love to Both of you. May you read this Bible together and enjoy the Lord for the rest of your lives. God Bless you Both.” Simple words with a deep meaning from her heart. To share Jesus with people so they could enjoy him for the rest of their lives, just like her. Her last words on this earth were “Lord Jesus”.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023, at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA with a reception to follow. Her burial will take place at a later date at North Atlanta Memorial Park where she will rest next to her daughter Carol Michelle Tang.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her honor to the Church in Atlanta for the restoration of the main meeting hall at
