Betty Rose Blasingame

Mrs. Betty Rose Franks Blasingame, age 77, of Atlanta died December 9, 2012 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth following a battle with stage 4 mouth cancer. A retired Registered Nurse from DeKalb Medical Center Hospital in Decatur she worked as I.V. Therapy certificated Oncology Nurse in the Atlanta area for over 50 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and nurse and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are Frank Blasingame of Atlanta her husband of 56 years, her brother David C. Franks of Swannoa, NC; her children, Susan Smith of Stone Mountain, Gene Blasingame of Lilburn, Ed Blasingame of Stone Mountain, Amy Tsangarides of Dacula. Also surviving are 12 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren. The memorial service will be Saturday, December 15, 2012 at one o'clock at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church 1450 Pine Road Dacula, GA 30019. The family will receive visitors Friday, December 14, 2012 from 4 until 8 p.m. at A. S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
