Beverly Joyce Tippett

Beverly Sills Tippett, age 81, of Atlanta, GA, died Monday, December 1, 2014 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Daisy Brown Sills and Cosby C. Sills of Atlanta, and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Tippett. Beverly was a graduate of O'Keefe High School and a longtime member of Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur. Beverly's greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Deborah T. McCommon (Paul) of Macon, sons, Mark Tippett (Joni) of Snellville, and Brent Tippett (Laurie) and Kevin Tippett (Lori) both of Lawrenceville, grandchildren Kerri M. Middlebrooks (Michael), Brian McCommon (Christen), Matt McCommon, Eric Tippett (Elizabeth), Trisha Tippett, Preston Tippett, Amber Tippett, Austin Tippett, and Ian Tippett, brother Ron Sills (Barbara) of Ormond Beach, FL , and sister-in-law Erma Tippett of Acworth along with five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held this Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Briarlake Baptist Church in the Harris Chapel with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park, Atlanta. The family will greet visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m., preceding the service.
