Beverly Rae Holmes

Mrs. Beverly Rae Holmes of Decatur died Wednesday, October 12, 2005. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Herbert Magee and Gladys McCann Magee. Mrs. Holmes attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose greatest pleasure was doing things for her family. She was a passionate cook and loved Cajun cooking. Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Holmes, and her grandson, Kevin Lowery. She is survived by her children, Craig and Dorene Holmes of Covington, Lee Holmes of Decatur, Clayton and Christina Holmes of Monroe, Linda and Steve Woodie of Acworth; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Dr. J. Hoffman Harris will officiate. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
