Mr. Bill T. Adamson, 80, of Stone Mountain died Wednesday, March 11, 2009. He was a native Atlantan and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired after 42 years at Ryder Truck Lines as an area Transportation manager. Mr. Adamson was a member of Mt Caramel Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Adamson Perkins. He is survived by his of wife of 57 plus years, Betty K. Adamson; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan Adamson of Dawsonville, Kelly Adamson of Stone Mountain; grandchildren, Lori Manus, Joshua Taylor Adamson, Amanda Beth Adamson; two great grandchildren, Samantha Manus and Max Manus; brother and sister-in-law, Terrence B. and Ede Holiday Adamson; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Eddie Bass; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14th, Rev. Seth Wortman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jack Ballard Church Builders, c/o Mt. Carmel Christian Church, 6015 Old Stone Mountain Rd., Stone Mountain, GA 30087. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 13th at A. S. Turner & Sons.
