Mrs. Billye Robinson Lysne, 86, of Tucker, GA, passed away on 21 February, 2008. She was born in Snyder, OK. Her parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Robinson came to Oklahoma from Tennessee in a covered wagon and were married in Indian Territory. Mrs. Lysne graduated from Hobart OK High School in 1939 and received her Bachelors degree from Oklahoma College for Women in 1941. During WWII she worked in Borden General Hospital. When it closed in 1946 she worked for the Civil Aeronautics Administration in Flight Safety. In 1956 she transferred to Barksdale AFB and assisted in setting up The Radar Approach Control. In 1958 she transferred to The Approach Control Center in San Antonio, TX. She met and married Major Paynee 0. Lysne and they spent the next 3 plus years in Japan, Maj. Lysne's duty assignment. On their return to the US they were stationed at Ft Wolters, TX and then to Redstone Arsenal, AL. Mrs. Lysne worked for the Federal Economic Development until her retirement in 1988. They lived in Tucker; GA. Mrs. Lysne was a Sunday School teacher and Department director for many years at Briarlake Baptist Church. Memorial services will be held in the Chapel of Briarlake Baptist Church on LaVista Rd. at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, 27 February, 2008. She is survived by her husband, 2 step children, 4 step grand children and 3 step great grand children. A. S. Turner & Sons
