Blanche Tanquary Koplin

October 27, 1920 — January 10, 2008

Blanche Tanquary Koplin, 87, of Atlanta died Thursday, January 10, 2008.  A native Atlantan she was a long time member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she took great joy and pride singing in the choir.  In addition to singing in the choir she performed live on stage, the radio, and made many recordings.  An avid gardener, she was a member of Briarcliff Woods Garden Club and was a leader of many DeKalb County Beautification projects.  After the death of her husband Mr. Edgar A. Koplin, she had a long satisfying career as a patient representative at Emory University Hospital.  Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Lynne Koplin of Pasadena, CA; two grandsons, Alex Koplin of New York City, Eric Koplin of Pasadena, CA; sister, Bertine Henderson of Decatur and nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Interment Arlington Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
