Clarkston, Georgia - Mr. Bobby Lee Wright, age 72, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at DeKalb Medical Center. Mr. Wright was born in Palatka, Florida, and moved to Clarkston, Georgia in June 1970. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Bobby served in the United States Army for six years. He worked and retired from CSX Railroad after 35 years. He served as a City Councilman for the City of Clarkston, Georgia. He served as a deacon of Clarkston Baptist Church from 1970-2004 and sub sequentially served as deacon at Smoke Rise Baptist Church until time of death. For the last eight years he has been a active member of the American Legion Post 66 where he served as the Commander. His life was guided by his love for his family, country and faith. Bobby will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by William E. Wright, father, Annie Kate Wright, mother and William D. Wright, brother. Survivors include Celestia L. Wright, wife, Catherine L. Wright, daughter, Deborah L. Reeves, daughter, three grandchildren, Austin, Brianna and Braden, and Freddie E. Wright, brother.

We will receive friends on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 4:00-6:00pm at Turner Funeral Home at 2773 North Decatur Road. Funeral services will be held at Smoke Rise Baptist Church on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside services will be held in Gainesville, Florida at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Turning Point Church of Newberry, 5577 NW 290th Street, Newberry Florida 32669. Arrangements are under the care of Turner Funeral Home at 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia.
