Brenda Covington, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on August 14, 2023. She was a woman of unwavering faith, and her life was a testament to her love for Jesus Christ. Born on January 28, 1952, to Norman L. Little and Annie L. Little, Brenda was a praying mother to three children - two boys and one girl. She also had the joy of being a grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her faith was at the heart of her life, and Brenda shared her testimony of salvation with all who crossed her path. She had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcome, and she would eagerly share her faith and the love of Christ with anyone willing to listen.
Beyond her devotion to faith, Brenda had a passion for preserving memories. She adored her family and often captured their moments together through photographs. A talented artist, she created intricate artificial flower arrangements that reflected her perfectionism and creativity. She also designed beautiful bows for her granddaughters, showcasing her flair for design.
Daily devotions and studying God's word were essential to Brenda's life. She would spend hours writing in her notepad, seeking deeper understanding and connection with her Savior. The rain brought her joy, and she found solace in watching the birds flutter from tree to tree. Her voice filled with love as she sang songs about their shared Savior with her great-grandchildren.
Rainbows were a symbol of hope and promise that Brenda cherished, particularly after the rain. Her unconditional love for her family knew no bounds, and though her passing has left a void in our hearts, we find comfort knowing she is now cradled in the arms of Jesus.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Norman L. Little; mother, Annie L. Little; sister, Juanita J. Bunch; brothers, Jerry L. Little and Douglas R. Little.
She is survived by her loving family: Stanley W. Covington (Pamela) of Monticello, GA; Arthur (Scott) Covington (Joley) of Warrenton, GA; Danielle D. Scarbro (Craig) of McDonough, GA; and 5 brothers.
A visitation to celebrate Brenda's life will be held on August 18, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at AS Turner Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10:00 AM, There will be an interment following at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.
