Bruce Raymond Adams passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023.

He was born in Jefferson, Georgia on January 16, 1934, to Lillian and Gilbert Adams. Raymond, as he was known in his younger years, was a graduate of Jefferson High School and an accomplished 3 sport athlete. He starred in both baseball, where as a pitching great, he earned the nickname "Ace", and football, where he played tight end and earned the "Best Blocker" award while under the tutelage of legendary Georgia high school coach Billy Henderson. Bruce graduated from Southern Technical Institute with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a successful businessman and founding partner in several Atlanta engineering firms.

He was a friend to many, a self-made man who provided guidance and advice to many of us on his life's lessons. He loved his family, playing golf, photography, woodworking, hunting and fishing, the Smoky mountains, and telling jokes. He always attended his children's and grandchildren's ballgames and recitals. He enjoyed telling stories about growing up on the farm. In retirement he played golf with his buddies and traveled with his wife Barbara. Bruce's golf buddies are welcoming him into heaven and they are playing on the Golden Links.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara Wood Adams and their four children, Stephen Adams, Anne Adams Moran (Kevin), Curtis Adams (Susie Bennett Adams) and Jeffrey Adams, grandchildren Nicholas Adams (Kellie), Rebecca Adams Good (Tanner), Joshua Adams (Stephen Adams) Caroline Adams and Lilly Adams (Curtis Adams), great grandchildren, Landry Adams and Reese Adams (Nicholas Adams).

A Celebration of Life will be held at A.S. Turner Funeral Home at 2773 N. Decatur, Road, Decatur, Georgia on January 7, 2024 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Friends of Disabled Adults and Children - FODAC https://fodac.org/donate/financial/
