Caitlin Delight Erickson left this world on October 28, 2016 after many years of fighting with addiction. She is remembered for her willful, fiery spirit and vivacious energy. Her smile could brighten any room, and brightened many kitchens in Atlanta. Caitlin was born on May 27, 1973 in Stony Creek, CT. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with her family when she was 4 years old, and her contagious sense of adventure made the years spent in New Mexico especially wondrous for everyone. She held on to a love of those years in that magical place with fierceness. Intrepid hiker, eager camper, care-taker of a myriad of assorted pets, budding musician and equestrian - her early life was rich and multi-faceted.
She leaves behind her parents, Marcy Alexander, Bremen, GA and Wayne Erickson, Floyd, VA; three siblings; Brett Erickson, Decatur, GA, Ruth Erickson, Cambridge, MA and Peter Weimer, Bremen, GA; her grandmother, Valerie Erickson, Branford, CT; three treasured nephews; many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and co-workers from all the paths she walked. Her time with us was made immeasurably better by having Ginger Pyron, Paul Weimer, and Kathleen Ingoldsby in her life.
Her heart was open wide to all.
We will miss her.
May her soul rest in peace.
