Carl E. Schwinne

Carl E. Schwinne, 78, of Stone Mountain, died February, 16, 2011. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Schwinne was a 1956 graduate of Ohio State University. He served his country as an engineer in the U. S. Army, obtaining the rank of Captain. Mr. Schwinne was the founder, owner and operator of Golf and Sports Equipment of Georgia. He was a long time member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Neva V. Schwinne; children, Carla Schwinne of Stone Mountain, Mark Schwinne of Buford, Mark Carr of Cumming, Todd Carr of Atlanta, Susan McCarran of Buford; grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Matthew and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2011 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Father Daniel Onyeayana serving as celebrant. Interment, Hillandale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 – 6 PM Sunday with a Prayer Service 6 – 7 PM at A. S. Turner & Sons.
