Mr. Carl R. Gulakowski, age 82, of Decatur died Sunday, January 4, 2009. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Gulakowski was preceded in death by his grandson, Mathew Gulakowski. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Aloisia (Lois) Gulakowski; daughter, Elyse Erwin and her husband Bill of Roswell; Sons, Gary Gulakowski and his wife Virginia of Littleton, CO, Lynn M. Gulakowski of Decatur; grandsons, Dennis Gulakowski of Lakewood, CO, Kristopher Erwin of Norcross, W. Daniel Erwin of Atlanta; niece, Kathy Niksa of Strongville, OH. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9th at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father James Sexstone officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Immaculate Heart of Mary Building Fund. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
