Carl William (Bill) Farmer, 86, had recently been diagnosed with lung cancer but died at his Dunwoody, GA home unexpectedly, Saturday, April 23, 2011. Bill was born in Washington, DC to Carl H. & Anna Christian Farmer. He moved with his family at age 4 to Atlanta and he remained in the Atlanta area for the rest of his life. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Carolyn B. Farmer; daughters, Roxanne Farmer (Galen) Gaunt of Lawrenceville, GA & Glennallen, Alaska, Donna Rouse (Fred) Lockman of Lithia Springs, GA, Tracey Rouse (Ron) Rice of Peachtree Corners/Norcross, GA; son, Stephen Farmer of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Kelley Lockman (Matt) Gauger of Durham, NC, David (Kelly) Lockman of Byron, GA, Michael Rice of Peachtree Corner/Norcross, GA; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration of love and devotion will be held Saturday, May 7th beginning at 2 o’clock at the home of the Rice family in Peachtree Corners.
