Carol Vivian Taylor

June 28, 1923 — February 14, 2012

TAYLOR, Carol Pierce Hayman Taylor, 88, passed away February 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by husbands, Frederick W. Hayman and Ralph A. Taylor; parents, James and Bertha Pierce. Survivors include daughter Deborah H. Johnson and her husband Roy L. Johnson, son Frederick P. Hayman and wife Bonnie B. Hayman, grandchildren Hunter A. Johnson, Philip R. Johnson, Frederick B. Hayman and Chelsea E. Hayman. Mrs. Taylor was born in Syracuse, NY and lived most of her life in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, VA before moving to Grayson, GA in 2000. Raised in the Episcopal Church, she was an active member of several congregations. She enjoyed her life in the church, homemaking, artwork, dancing and travel. She leaves behind a sister, Dorothy P. Gary, her husband, Howland R. Gary of Smithfield, VA and a brother Donald J. Pierce of Lawrenceville, GA, 6 nieces and 1 nephew. Funeral services to be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 20, 2012 in the chapel of Holy Trinity Parish, Decatur, GA with Fr. Greg Tallant officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Parish. A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory
