The family of Carole Hall Herron invites you to rejoice in her homecoming on Wednesday, May 15th, 1:00 p.m. at Columbia Presbyterian Church. Her resting will follow immediately at Decatur Cemetery. Carole was born on December 5th, 1937 in St. Louis Missouri, and died May 10th, 2013.
Carole was the devoted wife to Hugh Buddy Herron, who preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her sister, Judith Hall Manzer and husband Les. She was the proud mother of 6 sons, Mark Herron, and wife Susan, Joe Winkler III, and wife Kathy, Lee Herron (deceased) and daugther-in-law Jane Herron, Clay Winkler, and wife Kathleen, Chris Herron and Fiancé Carey Sherry, Spencer Herron and wife Jenifer.
She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Amber Vazquez, Natalee Ewert, and Catherine Herron, Brittany Winkler, Amber Fox, Autumn Holland, Isiah and Jessica Winkler, Tessa, Tanner, Tate and Troy Herron, Susannah, Greta, and Eli Herron. She has one great grandchild, Jaxson Fox. Carole also has numerous nieces and nephews.
Carole lived in Avondale Estates for almost 40 years, then moved to Dillard, GA, and finally settled in Hoschton, GA. Besides being an incredible stay home Mom for many years, Carole also worked in the Counseling Department at Avondale High School. Carole was a member of the Columbia Presbyterian Church Choir for untold years. She loved singing and playing piano with her sister, Judith. She was an avid gardener, collector, and reader. Carole enjoyed traveling to the beach and the mountains.
