Carolyn Adams Holladay

Carolyn Adams Holladay was born to eternal life on January 20, 2011 at DeKalb Medical Center after a short illness. She was a native of Birmingham, AL and lived a life that was beautiful and filled with meaning. The greatest blessing of her life was having the privilege of raising her two sons to become fine men, wonderful fathers and extraordinary physicians. Her pride knew no bounds. She was a gifted teacher and students stayed in touch with her for many years. She made a difference in so many lives. She is survived by her son, Dr. David Holladay of Atlanta, and his daughter, Olivia and her son Dr. Clint Holladay of Birmingham, AL and his wife, Michelle, his son Clayton and daughter, Skylar. A celebration of her life will take place at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, January 21st, at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place at 2:00 P.M. (central time) at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her name to the Cancer Survivors Fund, DeKalb Medical Center, 2701 N. Decatur Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
