Carolyn Althea Maifeld

Carolyn Althea Maifeld, age 92, of Decatur, GA passed away September 27, 2013. She was born September 16, 1921 in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Maifeld was a devoted wife and mother. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She was an avid supporter of Decatur soccer, The High Museum of the Arts in Atlanta, and number of civic organizations. Mrs. Maifeld was a long time member of Decatur First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School class, and also a volunteer in the clothing room. She is survived by four sons, Jim, Joe, David, and Stuart, four grandchildren Joe, Patrick, Katie, and Phillip and two great-grandchildren Madisen and Ethan. The family will accept friends and family on October 4th from 9:00 till 11:00 at Decatur First Baptist Church followed by a memorial service at 11:00am.
