Carolyn Isabelle Hudgins Robinson

Carolyn Isabelle Hudgins Robinson of Decatur, GA answered her Savior's call home on Saturday morning September 17, 2011. She was preceded to glory by her husband of 48 years, Clarence L. Robinson, Jr.; her parents Lee Allen and Velma Lee Hudgins and sister, Betty Hudgins Cudd. She is survived by her sons and daughters in marriage, Tim and Peggy Robinson of Travelers Rest, SC; Joel and Vivian Robinson of Conyers, GA; Richard and Shirley Robinson of Buford, GA; Grandchildren, Noelle and Jeff White of Taylors, SC; Tabitha and Michael Sekuras of Phoenixville, PA; Lisa and Daryl Riser of Oxford, GA; Thomas and Alisa Robinson of Covington, GA; Nathan and Susanna Robinson of Mililani, HI; Brooke Robinson of Conyers, GA; Megan Robinson of Loganville, GA; Lorynn Boland of Buford, GA; Great Grandchildren, Olivia, Ella and Julia White; Caleb and McKenna Riser; Ava and Aiden Robinson, and 2 more great granddaughters expected in September and December. Born in Avondale Estates, GA, her family had a rich heritage in Dekalb County for many generations. Carolyn loved her extended family at North Clarendon Baptist Church where she was married in 1951 and served faithfully all her life. She demonstrated a true servant's heart to her family and the many friends she treasured. Never one to meet a stranger, her benevolence extended to those who might have least expected it. Grandmama was an enthusiastic participant with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she happily played every imaginable game or role suggested. She had no greater joy. We will miss her in so many ways, but there is no greater comfort than to know the promise that she claimed in her Savior... For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16 KJV). We will honor her life by proclaiming this truth. Funeral Services will be held at North Clarendon Baptist Church, Scottdale, GA at 2:00P on Monday, September 19th with D. Perry Ginn, PhD officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Decatur, GA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18th from 2:00PM to 5:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at A.S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA.
