Carolyn Williams, 84, of Tucker, GA went to her eternal home on September 26, 2008. She was born January 4, 1924 in Glenn, Georgia, the youngest daughter of James H. and Bessie Wilson. She graduated from TiftCollege in 1946 and worked as a teacher and librarian before becoming a wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Col. Wesley B. Williams, in 2001. Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Al Gilbert, Fayetteville, GA; son, Wesley Howell Williams, Tucker, GA; sister, Sara Allene Wade, Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Melissa Gilbert, Chicago, IL, Justin and Andrew Gilbert, Atlanta, GA, Wesley S. Williams, Lawrenceville, GA; nephews, Todd Wilson, Fort Valley, GA and Craig Bolton, McLean, VA; sisters-in-law, Martha Amason, Decatur, GA, Katherine Watson, Marietta, GA, Sue Williams, Vidalia, GA, Irene Terry and her husband, Leonard, Simpsonville, SC and Mildred Wilson, Macon, GA. A memorial service celebrating the life of Carolyn Williams will be held 2 o’clock Thursday, October 2nd at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Tucker, GA with Rev. Dave Kivett officiating.
