Mrs. Carolyn Woods Middour passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 1, 2012 at her home in Decatur, Georgia. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 30, 1931 to the late Mary Lewis Woods and Maurice E. Woods. Mrs. Middour grew up in Decatur, Georgia and attended Agnes Scott College. She married Donald Robert Middour of Atlanta March 17, 1951 and had two sons, Steve and David. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Decatur. Besides raising two boys, she loved gardening, reading, travelling, oil painting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Donald, son Steve and his wife Elizabeth of Charleston, SC; son David and his wife Christine of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Owen, Thomas, William, Ben, and Ava, sister, Annette Woods and two step grandsons, Billy Galvin and Miles Galvin. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, May 4 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Interment will be in Decatur Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to First Christian Church of Decatur in Carolyn's memory. Her family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday, May 3, 2012 and one hour prior to the service on Friday at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home & Crematory.
