Mrs. Carolyne Taylor Wynne died Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Carolyne was a corporate accountant in the mortgage industry for 30 years and served as a volunteer for church and community organizations. Her volunteer work included being one of the original DeKalb Ambassadors for DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer of her homeowner’s association, Treasurer of Life Enrichment Services, and a Red Cross volunteer. She had been a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur prior to becoming a member of Smokerise Baptist Church. An active bridge player and international traveler, she had written a book of her memoirs, Through My Eyes, which will soon be published. Carolyne is survived by her daughters, Diane Wynne Norris and Terry Lynne Wynne; her granddaughter, Heather Elizabeth Norris; and her great grandson, Rylan James Ricard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13th , at A. S. Turner & Sons with Funeral Services to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel with Dr. Robert Browning officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens immediately afterwards. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
