Mrs. Catherine Baumgartner, 90, of Ringold, formerly of Decatur, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009. A native of Atlanta and a long time resident of Decatur, Mrs. Baumgartner was a founding member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She retired in 1984 from Bell South, where she worked for over 20 years. Mrs. Baumgartner is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Joseph Baumgartner. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Carol Brand and Vic Wells of Ringold, GA; son, Fred J. Baumgartner, Jr. of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Amy Raub of Winter Park, FL, Katy Green of Temple, GA, Neil Baumgartner and Nathan Baumgartner, both of Fayetteville, GA; great grandchildren, Austin Green and Brady Raub. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 25th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Young Nguyen officiating. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday with a Prayer Service at 6:30 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons
