Celeste Macris

Celeste Zervakos Macris was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 12, 1950 to Frank and Nicolette Zervakos. She graduated from Georgia State University and worked at Sears department store for several years. In 1987, she married her second husband Demetrios Macris. The two lived in Tucker, Georgia until Demetri’s passing in 2011. After living with multiple sclerosis for many years, Celeste passed away on November 4, 2019. She is survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The funeral service will be held 11a.m., Monday, November 11, at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation followed by procession to Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-5 Sunday evening, November 10, prior to the prayer service at 5 p.m. at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation.
