Charles Alexander Lenkerd

Charles Alexander Lenkerd, age 82, of Decatur, GA, went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2015. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Helen Langford Lenkerd; son, Charles Winfrey Lenkerd (Brenda); daughter, Merrie Helen Myrvold (Tom); grandsons, Matthew Alexander Lenkerd and Robert Thomas Myrvold; sister, Gwen Randle of Miami, FL and 2 nieces. He was active in Druid Hills Baptist and Briarlake Baptist churches, having served as Deacon in both. He coached girls' softball for a number of years. He was the owner/broker of Ark Realty, Inc. He loved his God, his church, his family. Funeral services will be held on Oct. 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Dr. Tommy Ferrell and Mr. Rodney Webb will officiate. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Needs Ministry of Briarlake Baptist Church, 3715 LaVista Rd., Decatur, GA 30033.
