Charles Anderson

Charlie Anderson passed away April 14, 2014, following an extended illness. Charlie was born on December 10, 1925 in Atlanta to the late James Taylor Anderson and Birdie Belle Bales Anderson. He was married to the late Dorothy Eunice Johnson on November 24, 1947. Charlie graduated from Tech High, was an elder at Avondale Church of Christ, attended there for over 50 yrs, was retired VP of Concrete Construction Co., the main contractor for laying gas lines for Atlanta Gas Light Co. in the 60's and 70's, and served in the US Navy in 1944. He is survived by 3 children Mike, Marsha, and Mark, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at A.S. Turner and Sons from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, April 18, 2014 at Westview Cemetery with Ministers Eric Owens, Jimmy Miller and Richard Barnes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Avondale Church of Christ Building Fund, 4017 Memorial Drive, Decatur, GA 30033. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
