Charles Barry Titus, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, in Atlanta Georgia, after battling the effects of Lewy Body Dementia for several years. Barry was a graduate of Brown University (’61) and was retired from both IBM and Cox Enterprises. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to classical music, gardening and playing classical guitar. Although a native of New York, he became a die-hard Braves fan and ran the Peachtree Road Race at least 15 times after moving with his family to Sandy Springs in 1979. Barry is preceded in death by his parents Burt and Johanna Titus and his sister Betsy Titus. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Frances Louisa (Wegner) Titus of Decatur, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Laurin Titus of Davidson, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Greg Kaiser of Marietta, Georgia; sisters Barbara Schultz of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Ann Marks of Cumming, Georgia; as well as his four beloved grandchildren, Charlie, Mac, Chloe and Ben. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of a donation to the Emory Integrated Memory Care Clinic (https://bit.ly/imccgiving) or the Lewy Body Dementia Association (www.LBDA.org). Friends and family will be invited to gather for a celebration of Barry’s life at a date to be determined.
