Charles Dailey Hostetter

November 14, 1922 — November 18, 2005

Charles Dailey Hostetter, age 82, a resident of Tucker, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 18. Mr. Hostetter was born November 14, 1922 and raised in Tuskeegee, Alabama. Charles graduated from Auburn University in 1948 and served his country in the Naval Air Force in World War II. As the Kraft Foods plant superintendent, he was instrumental in moving the plant from Nashville to Decatur. Charles later became a health sanitarian for Fulton County. Mr. Hostetter was an active member of Clarkston United Methodist Church and Boy Scout leader for Troop 158. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, February 21, at Clarkston United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. J. Larry Amos and the Reverend Terry DeLand officiating. The interment will be at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, GA immediately following the service. Charles Hostetter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jane Childs Hostetter, his son Spencer Hostetter and daughter-in-law Carol of Atlanta, GA., daughter,

Janie Charnow of North Bennington, VT, son Richard Hostetter and daughter-in-law, Pam, of Conyers, GA and daughter Alison LaMay and son-in-law, John of Duluth, GA. Mr. Hostetter is survived by seven grandchildren: Shane and Jennifer Poda, Courtney and Justin Brunson, Cameron Hostetter, Whitney Hostetter, Lauren Charnow, John LaMay III, Jane LaMay and two brothers Thomas Hostetter of St. Louis, MO and Taylor Hostetter of Tuskeegee, AL. The family will receive friends at a visitation at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to Clarkston United Methodist Church, 3919 Church Street, Clarkston, GA 30021.  A. S. Turner & Sons
