Charles Emory Sweat, Sr.

Charles Emory Sweat, Sr., age 60, of Decatur, GA, born on February 16, 1947, began his new eternal  life on Thursday, January 10, 2008.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Sweat and Clyta Sweat, brother, IraLee (Buddy) Sweat and 9 year old nephew Joshua Flickner. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Bonnie Sweat of Decatur; a daughter, Samantha Sweat and Glen Pemberton of Loganville; two sons, Charles Emory Sweat, Jr., and Annie Sweat of Loganville, Christopher L .Sweat of Gainesville; stepson, Thomas W. McGhee of Decatur; grandson, Glen (Bubba) Pemberton, Jr.; granddaughter, Emily Pemberton; sister, Janice Cheek of Stone Mountain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. James K. and Cookie Sweat of Scottdale, Tillman and Barbara Sweat of Decatur; mother and father in-law, Fred and Doris Shubert; sister's-in-law, Linda Mikul and Sherry Flickner; brother-in-law, John Shubert; and a very special niece and nephew, Donnie and Debbie Pilgrim; and several other nieces, and nephews.  A celebration of Mr. Sweat's life will be on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Darrell Casteel and Rev. W. C. Grant officiating. Interment will be at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. David Snyder and Southeastern Lung Care for their outstanding concern and healthcare for the last 10 years.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday and Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at A. S. Turner & Sons.
