Dr. Charles Frank Davis, 93, of Tucker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late Charles Neese and Shellie Pearl Kitchens Davis. Charles was a graduate of Atlanta Boy's High, Emory University class of '50, and Emory Dental School. He served as the Past President and General Chairman of the Hinman Dental Society and was a member of the GA Dental Association and Northern District Dental Society. He practiced his love of dentistry for 45 years in Decatur, GA. For about 10 years, Charles assisted with the mission team of Honduras Outreach. He was a member of the Fellowship Class at Decatur First United Methodist Church. Charles enjoyed quail hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Camille Walls, and her husband, Jeff; son, Mark Davis and his wife, Denise; grandchildren, Preston Davis, Justin Davis, Megan Davis, Brandon Reddick, and Blake Reddick; four great grandchildren; and many more loving family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Dunlap Davis; sons, James Carlton Davis and Chuck Davis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, in the chapel of A.S. Turner & Sons with interment to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
