Charles Lebron Dietz

June 19, 1932 — March 10, 2014

Charles (Charlie) L. Dietz, 81, of Decatur, passed away March 10, 2014. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., later moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. and as a teenager joined the U.S. Army, serving as a Medic in N. Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was awarded a Purple Heartand Bronze Star. Mr. Dietz settled in Atlanta in the mid-50's and worked for many years in the auto sales business. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jane, one sister, one brother and many nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at A.S. Turner on Saturday, March 15, at 3:00 pm with Rev. Larry Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Atlanta Humane Society or The American Cancer Society. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
