Charles Moore

C. Dewey Moore returned to the presence of his Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 6th at 1p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Walker officiating. Interment to follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at A. S. Turner & Sons on October 5th from 6 to 8 p.m.  Mr. Moore was a Georgia native with his early years spent in Shiloh, Georgia. He moved to Atlanta later. He was a retired Executive Vice President with the First National Bank of Atlanta. He was a long time member and Deacon of Peachtree Baptist Church. Captain Moore served honorably in the U. S. Marine Corps during WWII and because of special skills was recalled during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his loving wife, Billee; a son, William Michael (Mike) of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Melinda Ramsey and her husband Terry of Dallas, Texas; and granddaughter, Tara Barsanti of Dallas, Texas.
