Charles Ronald Harmon

Charles Ronald Harmon , 79, of Atlanta, died September 16, 2012. Born in south Georgia, Mr. Harmon had spent most of his adult life in the Atlanta area. He was a self-employed insurance broker and loved traveling and playing golf. Charles spent a great deal of time with his family and friends. Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria Harmon, his son, Knox Harmon, and his brother, Jerry Harmon. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Peggy Vaughn Harmon; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Elizabeth Harmon; son, Scott Harmon; grandsons, Miles and Jacob. Also surviving are his step-son Alan Langston and his wife, Kathy; step-grandchildren, Brian Langston and his wife, Barbara, Ashley Tibbetts, and her husband Eric, and Elizabeth Langston and her fiancé, Scott Penn; step-great grandchildren, Nolan and Addison; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Jean Harmon, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Toby Smith; brother, Bubba Harmon. A memorial service will be held 10 AM, Thursday, September 20, in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with a reception at Druid Hills Country Club following the service. Turner & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
