Charlotte I. Berry

Charlotte Loyd Berry, 89, passed peacefully on December 23, 2013. Lively, fun-loving, artistic, lover of family, books, painting and babies, she will be dearly missed by her three children and their spouses (Dennis and Kathy, Julie and John, and Vicki and Mike); her ten grandchildren (Derek, Kimberli, Angela, David, John, Jennifer, Margaret, Brandon, Britt and Kristen); sixteen great-grandchildren; YaYa sisters (Kathy and Louise); brother (Bobby); and many friends. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, LeRoy Berry, Jr.; daughter, Donna Jean Berry Able; and son, Joel Todd Berry. She treasured her time with family and friends in Atlanta and Cocoa, FL and especially her friends and caregivers at Montclair in Clairmont Place in Decatur, GA. She loved any family gathering, especially ones with lots of children, moving rocks around her yard, going to Sunday school and trips to the Varsity. She was a gracious lady who never complained and always had a kind word for everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She leaves behind special memories, the lessons of a pure-at-heart role model and several beautiful paintings she created that will be cherished by family for generations to come. The family will receive friends at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home in Decatur today, December 24th from 10:30 AM until the funeral service at 12 Noon.
