Charlotte Mary Thuman Collins died at the age of 70 on February 14, 2021. She was a graduate of College Park High School, class of 1968 and attended the University of Georgia. She was an active faithful member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, where she enjoyed serving in the theatre ministry. Charlotte was very witty, an avid reader, loved animals, and was a huge Comic-Con fan, but most of all, she adored her husband Ed of 40 years.
Mrs. Collins of Decatur, GA was preceded in death by her parents Marguerite “Peggy” Mary Armstrong Thuman and Charles “Charlie” Thuman, nephew, Brian Thuman and father-in-law Frank Alton Collins.
She is survived by her husband Edward “Eddie” Alton Collins, brother Donald Anthony Thuman, nephew Anthony and Terrie Thaxton Thuman, their children Cassidy and Nicholas, Adam and Barabara Rolo Thuman their children Emily and Alec, and great-niece Abigale (Brian’s daughter) Thuman; Mother-in-law, Lester “Les” Lee Willder Collins, sister-in-law’s Leslie Collins (Lawrence), Cindy (Kerry) Arnold along with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved puppy, Joel.
A memorial service for Mrs. Collins will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 636 W. Ponce de Leon Ave, Decatur, GA 30030. A reception will be held at the church immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family in requesting donations be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church in memory of Mrs. Charlotte Collins. A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
