Chester Leverette Moody

Mr. Chester L. Moody, age 95, of Scottdale, GA entered rest on Friday, December 14, 2007.  He served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army during which time he learned the profession of barbering and remained a professional barber during his lifetime. He remained active, living at home and enjoying his friends and continued to cut hair until three weeks ago.  Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Moody.  He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Johnson and her husband Joey of Augusta, GA, and Bertha Turner of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by his family, friends and his kitty, Pretty Thing. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 18th in the chapel of A. S. Turner& Sons with Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiating.  Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
