Christine Cloer Williams Dailey

Christine Cloer Williams Dailey, beloved daughter of Carol Hale Shumate and Jerry Shumate, died at home Oct. 3, 2011. She was born Jan. 7, 1967, in Decatur, Georgia, and graduated from Tucker High School. Ms. Dailey attended the University of Georgia and graduated from Georgia State University. She worked in the insurance industry for almost 20 years. She was a member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Dailey is survived by the love of her life, her daughter, Ruby Grace Dailey. She is also survived by her former husband, Scott Dailey; an aunt, Nonie Hale, of Athens; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Cloer; her son, Charles Andrew Spinks, Jr.; her grandparents, Fred and Laurie Upshaw Hale of Social Circle; and her uncle, Sanders Hale of Athens. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 7, in the chapel of A.S.Turner and Sons, 2773 North Decatur Rd., Decatur. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may donate to the Ruby Grace Dailey Educational Fund c/o Carol Shumate, Wells Fargo Bank, 2942 No. Druid Hills Rd., Atlanta, GA 30329.
