Christine Smith Peters

Christine “Teenie” S. Peters (97) passed away, after several years of failing health, on December 19, 2010 at the Regency House in Decatur. “Teenie” was the wife of W. E. “Pete” Peters of Monroe, GA, who passed away in 2002, and a long time resident of Avondale Estates. She was known in Decatur for the many years she was associated with Hearn’s Jewelry and later with Meyer and Berkle Jewelry. Christine is survived by two brothers and a sister: Frank Smith of Newnan, GA, Harold Smith and wife, Jenene W. Smith of Tucker, GA, Mary Puckett of Greenville, SC and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at A. S. Turner and Sons in Decatur, GA on December 23, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM and a graveside service will take place at the Decatur Cemetery immediately after visitation. Arrangements made by A. S. Turner and Sons of Decatur.
