Christine Wright Kennedy

Christine Wright Kennedy, age 67 of Decatur, passed away on February 8, 2016. A native of New Jersey she also called Jupiter, FL home. Chris graduated from Jupiter High School before attending Green Mountain College and receiving her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University. Chris retired at the end of 2015 as a pediatric nurse practioner in rheumatology from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta after helping countless children. Chris loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining friends and family, playing ALTA tennis, and traveling. She will be remembered as the best mom ever and is survived by her children Erin Middleton (Chris) of Watkinsville, Patrick Kennedy (Jenna) of Tucker, and Ryan Kennedy (Shannon) of Atlanta; 4 grandchildren Gage & Emma Middleton, Maie Kennedy, and Elle Kennedy; brother Drew Wright; sister Andrea Johnson, and numerous family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur on March 12 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Thomas More Catholic Church or to support juvenile arthritis care and research -checks can be made out to Emory University and sent to Mr. James Owen, Director of Development, Pediatrics, 1440 Clifton Rd, Ste 170, Atlanta, GA 30322
