Clara Wilkerson

Mrs. Clara Wilkerson of Avondale Estates died Monday, April 25, 2005.  She grew up in Quitman, GA, the daughter of Lee Arthur Corbin and Mary Shinholster Corbin. She retired from Sears in Tucker in 1990 after 23 years. She was a member of the Decatur Nazarene Church by Agnes Scott College where she was a nursery attendant since 1963. She loved gardening and collected dolls as a hobby. Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilkerson in 1968. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law,  Ken & Cathy Wilkerson of Covington, Dale &  Janice Wilkerson of Lithonia, Tommy & Teresa Wilkerson of Covington; daughter Monteal Wilkerson of Snellville; brother, Lee Corbin of Monticello, FL; sister, Earline Thomas of Enterprise, AL; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 11:30 Thursday, Rev. Paul Canen officiating. Interment Melwood Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at A. S. Turner & Sons
