Mr. Clarence Raymond (Mac) McKee, age 86, died Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the Atlanta Medical Center. Born in Hammond, Indiana, he was the third of four children of the late Albert and Emma McKee. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He served as a fighter pilot with the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean War. Mr. McKee remained in the Naval Reserve for 23 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He worked in various management positions with the U. S. Air Force in Civil Service for 22 years, retiring in 1971. He worked for Daniel Construction Company in Greenville, SC for 12 years retiring in 1983 as a management analyst. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne Barton McKee of Atlanta; his son, Craig McKee of Greenville, SC; his daughter, Dr. Constance McKee Durkin of Atlanta; two sisters, Margaret Retzloff of Munster, IN and Gertrude Passalacqua of Highland, IN; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur, GA at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5th. A. S. Turner & Sons
