Clarence W. Sterns, 96, of Tucker, GA passed to his Eternal Home, Thursday, December 30, 2004. He was born in Fairbury, IL to Charles and Bessie Deputy Sterns. Mr. Sterns was married for 67 years to his beloved wife, Minnie Sterns, who preceded him in death in 1998. He will be dearly missed by his surviving family; daughter and son-in-law, Greta and Tom Kenney; granddaughters, Rhonda and Dr. Dwight Bearden, Pam and Gary Stalvey; grandson, Tom Sterns and Lisa Kenney; and nine great grandchildren, Alexis, Brett, Garrett and Bethany Bearden, Emily and Allison Stalvey and Caroline, Grace and Jack Sterns Kenney; brother and sister-in-law, James and Nat Sterns; nieces and nephews. Mr. Sterns was a member of Embry Hill United Methodist Church and the Jack Nichols Sunday School class. Visitation will be at A. S. Turner & Sons Saturday, January 1st from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at Embry Hills United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Westmoreland and Rev. Oscar Green officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
