Mr. Clinton Parks, Jr. of Conyers died on Saturday, July 9, 2005. He was born in Oberlin, Louisiana on Dec. 4, 1927 to the late Clinton Perkins, Sr. and Ruth Soule? Perkins of St. Francisville, LA. Mr. Perkins served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1948 and was honorably discharged as a Petty officer, 3rd class. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1952 with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Perkins had a distinguished career with Bell South beginning in Louisiana in 1952. During his career he held numerous management positions in many organizations, such as Commercial and Public Relations. He ended his career of over 36 years in 1988 as Assistant Vice President in Regulatory and External Affairs, responsible for pricing and economics. During 1982-1983 he served as President of the general council, Telephone Pioneers of America. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Mazie) Blalock Perkins; son, Clinton Perkins III, both of Conyers; and daughters, Sidnah Doby and Cynthia Panter of Blue Ridge, Georgia. He is also survived by six grandchildren. The family will receive friends and family at A. S. Turner & Sons, Decatur, GA from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Monday, July 11th. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Rev. Mike Wadley will officiate. Interment Decatur Cemetery.
