Clyde Perrineau Franklin

February 8, 1909 — April 17, 2005

Mr. Clyde P. Franklin of Decatur died Sunday, April 17, 2005. During his lifetime, he enjoyed a variety of Activities ? sports, fishing, working in his yard, and world-wide traveling. He was a member of Northlake church of Christ. His career with Southern Bell Telephone Co. spanned 45 years, where he retired as State Personnel Manager. He is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Ann F.) Harper of Hoover, AL and Mrs. Ed (Claudia F.) Zawada of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Tommy Allen, Sheri Donaldson, Todd Allen, Michelle Smith, and Stephanie Zawanda; his great-grandson,  Carter Allen; grandson-in-law, Kevan Smith; granddaughter-in-law, Melony Allen; sons-in-law, Larry Harper and Ed Zawada; and sister, Alma Gillespie. The family will receive friends Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with a service at 12:00 Noon at A. S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkwood Baptist Church, 1069 Central Dr., Concord, NC 28027 for Deaf Ministry. A. S. Turner & Sons (404) 292-1551
