Connie Mullis Wyatt

Connie Mullis Wyatt, born May 19, 1928 in Barnesville, GA died Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Connie married John Wyatt just before her 18th birthday in April 20, 1946 and was married for almost 62 years.  During her adult life she worked for Southern Bell as a long distance operator and at Southern Railway as a clerk.  She attended Ousley Methodist Church for many years and was most recently a member of Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. She was the daughter of Oscar Truman Mullis, born Feb. 21, 1896 Dexter, GA and Martha Lucille Sikes, born Feb. 21, 1896 Dexter, GA.  She is survived by her husband, John Wilbern Wyatt of Alpharetta, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Judy & Steve Mayer of Alpharetta, GA; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Kelly & Jay Durham of Birmingham, AL; granddaughter, Brittany Mayer of Birmingham, AL; sister & brother-in-law, Christine & Billy Baker of Atlanta, GA; and brother, Oscar Truman 'Sonny' Mullis, Jr. of Atlanta, GA.  Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM Saturday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
