Daisy Estelle Harrell

Daisy Estelle Harrell, 88, passed away Dec 7, 2010. Born in Fitzgerald, GA, she was a graduate of Andrew College, a Masters from George Peabody College for Teachers, and taught school in Georgia more than 40 years, retiring from Dekalb County School System. She was a member of Oak Grove UMC, Delta Kappa Gamma Society, an active volunteer in Grady Memorial Hospital Gift Shop, afghans for victims of domestic violence, and the board of Georgia Federal Credit Union. She was the middle child of five children and committed to family. She is survived by one brother, Robert W. Harrell of Brevard, NC; a sister-in-law, Virginia Harrell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 18th at A. S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, 2773 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30031. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Aseracare Hospice, 30 Perimeter Park Dr # 201, Atlanta, GA 30341-1329.
