David Wilson Obituary

David Laverne Wilson, 58, was called home on December 20th, 2015. His visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22nd at 10 a.m., followed by his celebration of life at 11 a.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur, Ga. A graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Tucker will immediately follow. He is survived by a daughter, Katrina Wilson Spruiell (Matt) and son, Christopher Deen Wilson, along with brothers Weldon A. Nash, Jr., James Robert Wilson III, sister Sheila Wilson Lord, sister-in-law Patti Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Wilson, Jr. and Bertha Mae Wilson, and brother Paul Douglas Wilson.

David was born January 13th, 1957, in Tucker, Georgia, the third of five children. David had an infectious personality and was never without a joke, witty comment, or funny story. He loved his family dearly and was exceedingly generous in all ways. He was a Master Plumber, achieving that certificate at an early age, following in the footsteps of his father, who he adored. He was a devoted father, brother, and son, and his lively personality will never be forgotten.
