Mr. David M. Guy, 94, of Atlanta died, Sunday, April 13, 2008. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he served as a trainer for the football team when they played in the Rose Bowl. Mr. Guy served in the U. S. Army, and then transferred to the Air Force where he was an Air Traffic Controller. He received a Bronze Star in 1945. Mr. Guy was a teacher by profession and taught math in the DeKalb County School System, retiring from Avondale High School in 1976. He was a member and elder of Chapel Woods Presbyterian Church. Mr. Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Norton Guy and daughter, Mary Holton. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Sabo of Decatur, Donna Chrivia of Atlanta; grandchildren, Jessica Van Atta, J. Michael Chrivia, Cullen Chrivia, Christopher Chrivia, Stephanie McNally, Sara Joiner, Samantha King, Benjamin Holton, David Holton, and Bethany Nalley; and seventeen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16th in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons. Private interment will occur later. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at A. S. Turner & Sons.
